Intelligent Avatars

Intelligent avatars for digital heritage applications (IntAvaVR) project (2024-2027) will research the use of intelligent avatars in digital cultural heritage applications. They will be based on AI interfaces and will be able to chat with the user. In this research, we will integrate AI, XR, and interactive digital storytelling for cultural heritage. We will select case studies of important cultural heritage objects or sites and create 3D reconstructions populated by intelligent avatars who tell stories and communicate with the users. The applications will be implemented using a selected XR technology or several of them. The project will be to develop a methodology for intelligent avatar implementation in digital cultural heritage applications. We expect to introduce a significant scientific contribution to the field of digital cultural heritage.

The project is done in collaboration between Sarajevo Graphics Group from the University of Sarajevo – Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Pan-European University from Bratislava, Slovakia.
