The project “Old Railways for New Cooperation and Experiences” is financed by the cross-border cooperation program Serbia – Bosnia and Herzegovina 2014 – 2020 within the Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance (IPA II). The project is jointly implemented by the leading applicant BIPS (SRB), and partners Association for Entrepreneurship and Business LiNK Mostar (BiH), Civil Action Forum FORCA (SRB), and Banovići Municipality (BiH).
The overall objective of the project is to contribute to the increase of heritage tourism demand in Tuzla (BH) and Zlatibor region (SER).
The specific objective is to introduce innovative tourist products and integrate the tourist offer of the Zlatibor and Tuzla cross-border area connecting them with a narrow-gauge railway – old railways for new cooperation and experiences. VR application for museums in Banovići and Požega is developed by Sarajevo Graphics Group/DIGI.BA.
The user is located in the virtual train compartment. The map with the railway route will be in his lap. The narrator playing the role of a train conductor will appear aside and tell stories about the selected historical topics related to old railway travel. During the trip, the train will “stop” in stations Bistrik-Sarajevo, Banovici, Tuzla, and Visegrad for BH application and Požega, Užice, Jatare and Mokra Gora for Serbian application. The stations will be viewed as 360 videos of real locations.
