Sports cup

Sports cup for first place on memorial indoor soccer tournament „Zajko-Šikalo“  was made in 1994. year in Sarajevo. This cup is made of  aluminum and plastics.

On two ends it's thickened and in the middle it narrows. Stand is black and it has the sign:
"Za osvojeno i mjesto na 2.memorijalnom turniru "Zajko-Šikalo" 10. seprembar, '95.“

Even with extremely difficult  war situation, people from Sarajevo in city under the siege organized sports tournaments. There were at least two reasons for that;  first to pay tribute to fallen soldiers, the defenders of Sarajevo, and second to demonstrate power of will and defiance, to show that life goes on and that it's going to be “normal life”, so with theatrical performances, exhibition and other cultural activities the sports competitions are being held as well.

The cup was donated to Historical museum in January 2003.
