These occupations are an essential part of a \u010dar\u0161ija and its life, but in time there have become undeservedly forgotten, such as: <strong>telals<\/strong> \u2013 individuals who shouted news in \u010dar\u0161ija,<strong> hamamd\u017eijas<\/strong> \u2013 maintained public baths, <strong>talaks<\/strong> \u2013 usually worked in hamams as masseurs, <strong>hamals<\/strong> &#8211; \u00a0carried loads, <strong>hand\u017eijas<\/strong> \u2013 rented hans or inns, <strong>kre\u010dars<\/strong> \u2013 makers and sellers of lime, <strong>\u0107erpid\u017eijas<\/strong> \u2013 makers of \u010derpi\u0107 \u2013 unbaked earth brick, <strong>pasvand\u017eijas<\/strong> \u2013 night guards in \u010dar\u0161ija, <strong>odund\u017eijas<\/strong> \u2013 who brought wood on horses and sold it, <strong>kirid\u017eijas<\/strong> \u2013 transported loads using their cart horses, and some other activities.<\/p>\n<p>It is worth mentioning that the guilds had a significant impact on the town\u2019s life. In case of dissatisfaction with a decision of the central or local authorities, they would close their shops during work days.
