Šiš

Šiš - cylinder oven for caffee. This devise was made of steel, in shape of cylinder, which is mounten on the long stick, also of steal. Šiš is closed from the front side with a small window which can open, fill with caffee i close again. During the frying proces,šiš must often turn around.Periodically, šiš must be taken out of the oven ,so that caffee could be well mixed,in that closed devise,and that grain can uniformly fry from all sides.

During this process caffee is releasing a smell of strong intensity,which fills the room and spreads out. Grain of caffee make pleasant sounds. This sounds and smells represented very important and memorable moments in the lives of Bosnia and Herzegovina people.
