Clay weight for weaving loom

Bronze age lasted from 2200 untill 750 year B.C. , and the things that specificated it were producement of bronze weapon, gear and jewelry. It was the time of metallurgy and trade development, but also it was the time when on territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina the first weaving loom was invented. Weaving loom was used for weaving canvas from flax, hemp, cotton etc.

With time weaving loom became important part of every household, on which women and girls, weaved variety cloth for vest and house. Wood from which weaving loom was made of was mostly beech. Weaving loom from brozne  age was of course primitive, so, for anchoring the ropes on which was weaved, a weight was used.

This weight was mostly made of clay and it had to be heavy so it could anchor the ropes, but still it had to be small so there could be as many as possible weights in one row, because there were many ropes hanging. Weaving loom had a hole on himself so the rope could be attached to it. Of course, not everyone could weave on weaving loom, a special skill was required for that.
