Lantern

The need for light was always one of the crucial human needs. After a candle has been invented, people started producing all sorts of candle holders. A special type of candle holder is lantern.

Lanterns can take various shapes, but each one of them is closed, with glass walls.

On one hand, some of them were made for hanging on the wall or being placed on the table, while on the other hand, some were meant to be portable, so their purpose was to be carried in the dark halls when not every household had lightbulbs.

Nowadays, lanterns are used in a more sophisticated way, meaning that instead of candles, various types of lightbulbs are placed inside. Thanks to this, lanterns have been actively used for hundreds of years, with mild variations through the time.
